It should have been a night out but it was the night Lale disappeared. A man tells the story of the young woman he loved. Lale, a young Turkish woman who grew up and died in France, surprisingly combined her two cultures with all that is contradictory. He thought he knew everything about her. He hadn't seen before that night that Lale had become a foreigner everywhere and to everyone.
