Synopsis
Boredom and disillusion with her predictable marriage to Fred and her relationship with their teenage daughter drive Mary, a middle-aged housewife, to drink and pills. Leaving home, she heads for Nassau. Following a disastrous affair she returns to Denver, but instead of going home she takes a job, rents an apartment, and enrolls in night school. When Fred meets her there one evening it seems that their relationship may just be able to work again, but in a very different way.
