Synopsis
In 1906, a newspaper organizes a cross-country horse race covering 700 miles of hard-going territory in only a few days. The competitors include a woman, a Mexican, an Englishman, a young cowboy, his older counterpart and two ex-cavalry volunteers who all have their own reasons for wanting to win. During the race they learn to respect one another as the grueling conditions test the endurance of horses and riders alike.
