Synopsis
France. Autumn 1917. The war is in its last throes. Camille?s husband, a soldier, writes, telling her that things at the front have ground to a halt, that the enemy is suffering just as much in their trenches as they are in theirs, that the ground gained on any night is lost again the following morning... One day his last letter arrives, bidding her farewell, he?s leaving her. Having none of it, Camille dons men?s clothing and heads for the front to find him.
