Synopsis
A young woman travels to Trieste on the trail of a man who died years back, searching for people who may have known him. The questions she asks seem to indicate that she?s trying to find out why this man, a great intellectual and friend of so many writers, never wrote anything. As she goes from place to place, the character acquires form, but the purpose of the search is put off, the pretext fades and gives way to an incipient certainty. Will she be happy with that?
