The latest work from the Canadian director Denis Villeneuve (Incendies) is a Spain-Canada co-production starring Jake Gyllenhaal. A mysterious thriller played out in the subconscious of a man in crisis: Adam leads a monotonous life until he discovers Anthony, a small-time actor physically identical to him.

BIOGRAPHY

Denis Villeneuve debuted with Un 32 août sur terre (1998), screened in the Official Selection at Cannes, Telluride and Toronto. His next film, Maelström (2000), won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Berlinale in 2001. In 2008, his short film Next Floor won the Canal + Award for Best Short Film presented at the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes and, a year later, Polytechnique premiered in the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs and landed the Toronto Film Critics Association Award for Best Canadian Film. Incendies (2010) was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2011.
