FAMILY TOUR
Foto: SSIFF

In her directorial debut, Liliana Torres Expósito reflects her experiences on returning home after several years of living abroad. Her mother, a person of exceptional eccentric simplicity, forces Lili to visit her relatives (grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins) on a family tour of the abandoned landscape of her childhood as she explores her own frustrations and limits of tolerance with the faults we all inherit.

BIOGRAPHY

Liliana Torres, born in Vic (Barcelona) in 1980, is a graduate in Directing from the ESCAC in Barcelona and as a specialist in Documentaries from the CCC in Mexico City. Some of her most noteworthy works are the short films Anteayer (2005) and Quince años (2012), both internationally screened, the documentaries Todos los trabajos de la mujer and Viviendo en la piedra, two feature film screenplays and a film as an executive producer, El lenguaje de los machetes (2011), by Kyzza Terrazas, premiered at the Critics' Week in Venice 2011. Family Tour marks her feature directorial debut.
