Fourteen years after winning the Golden Shell with C'est quoi la vie?, François Dupeyron returns with his new film. When Frédi loses his mother, he realizes she has passed her healing gift on to him. Frédi rejects it totally, tangled up in his own unhappiness, until a fatal accident changes everything. He is forced to acknowledge that he had healing hands.

BIOGRAPHY

François Dupeyron won the Golden Shell and the Silver Shell for Best Actor (Jacques Dufilho) at the San Sebastian Festival in 1999 for C'est-quoi la vie? (What's Life?). After writing and directing the multi-award winning La chambre des officiers (The Officers' Ward, 2001), Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleurs du Coran (Monsieur Ibrahim, 2003) and Inguélézi (Clandestine, 2004), a competitor in the Official Selection at San Sebastian that same year, he now returns to the Festival with an adaptation of one of his novels starring Grégory Gadebois and Céline Sallette, two promising French actors.
