Two years after presenting Kiseki / IWish at the Festival, Hirozaku Kore-eda returns to San Sebastian with his latest film, winner of the Jury Award at the last Festival de Cannes. This time Kore-eda tells the story of a man who must make a life-changing decision and choose between his natural son and the son he believed was his after spending 6 years together.

BIOGRAPHY

Hirokazu Kore-Eda (Tokyo, 1962) has been one of the most prestigious names in today's Japanese cinema ever since his first film, Maboroshi no Hikari (Maboroshi, 1995), won an award in Venice. Some of his other films, such as Distance (2001) and Dare mo shiranai (Nobody Knows, 2004), were presented at Cannes. Four of his works have competed at the San Sebastian Festival: Wandâfuru raifu (After Life, 1998), Hana yorimo Naho (Hana, 2006), Aruitemo aruitemo (Still Walking, 2008) and Kiseki (I Wish, 2011), winner of the Jury Prize for Best Screenplay. Like Father, Like Son won the Jury Prize at the Festival de Cannes in 2013.
