Amenabar, new Official Collaborator of the San Sebastian Festival
Wednesday, May 8th, 2019

Amenabar has come to an agreement with the San Sebastian under which the company becomes its Official Collaborator for a period of three years. Furthermore, thanks to the Amenabar Family service, it will also sponsor films for children by means of its Welcome to the family! campaign, to ensure the enjoyment of all families with their younger members. Identification with the tradition of the Zinemaldia, and very especially with the selection of children’s films, corresponding to the values and spirit of the family and community who compose Amenabar’s essence, make this a highly satisfactory agreement for both sides.

For more than three decades, the San Sebastian Festival has been bringing films to children thanks to its Movies for Kids section, featuring the premieres of films dubbed into Basque especially focussed on the new generations of spectators. On weekends during the Festival, sessions are programmed for a family audience in different cinemas throughout the city.

Amenabar is a family concern with more than 37 years in the business; it is also one of the leading national estate agents. Specialising in development and construction, with the experience of having built more than 24,000 houses, today it has more than 72 property developments all over Spain. Furthermore, among others, Amenabar is responsible for the construction of buildings as iconic as the Kursaal, the Basque Culinary Center, the Biodonostia Health Research Institute, Tabakalera and the San Telmo Museum, all located in San Sebastian.
