Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
For thirty years, Loran Bonnardot, a doctor from Paris, has been visiting Tristan da Cunha, the world's most remote inhabited island in the middle of the South Atlantic. Home to some of the most unique species, only 6 to 8 boats make the journey per year. This volcanic island has become Loran's spiritual refuge; its inhabitants, his chosen family, and Martin, the fisherman, his best friend. Now 50, Loran travels back to his utopian island once more but this time with no intention of leaving.
