Izebene Oñederra (Azkoitia, Spain. 1960) is a Doctor in Fine Arts and professor at the University of the Basque Country. She is the creator and producer of her own handmade animated films, such as Hezurbeltzak, Una fosa común (2007) and Hotzanak. For Your Own Safety (2013), which was included in the Kimuak selection, participated in Zabaltegi and screened in the Velodrome at the San Sebastian Festival. She also directed the short film Kutxa beltza (2016), with the animator Isabel Herguera, included in the omnibus film Kalebegiak, which also screened in the Velodrome at San Sebastian. Her other participations include the films Beti Bezperako Koplak (2016), Berbaoc (2008), Amar (2010) and Areka (2017).
