Rosa, about to turn 45, realizes that she has always lived for others, so she decides to press the nuclear button, shake things up, leave it all and grab hold of the reins of her life. But before all this, she wants to embark on a very special commitment: a marriage to herself. She soon discovers that her father, her siblings and her daughter have their own agenda, and that changing her life is going to be anything but easy since it is not in the family script. Marrying, even if it is with herself, will be the hardest thing she has ever done.

Iciar Bollaín (Madrid, 1967) has directed the feature films Hola, ¿estás sola? (Hi, Are You Alone, 1996); Flores de otro mundo (Flowers from Another World, 1999), winner of an award at the Cannes Semaine de la Critique; Te doy mis ojos (Take My Eyes, 2003) for which its two lead characters won both Silver Shells in San Sebastian and which landed seven Goyas; Mataharis, with which she competed in San Sebastian once again; También la lluvia (Even the Rain, 2009) Panorama award in Berlin; En tierra extraña (In a Foreign Land) presented in Special Screenings at San Sebastian; El Olivo (The Olive Tree, 2015), Best New Actress Goya, and Yuli (2018), Jury Prize for Best Screenplay in San Sebastian. La boda de Rosa (Rosa’s Wedding) won the Special Jury Prize and Silver Biznaga for Best Supporting Actress at Malaga Festival.
