This year the San Sebastian Festival will combine the physical and online formats for Industry activities at its 69th edition, to run from September 17-25.
The Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum and Ikusmira Berriak move their hub this year from the San Telmo Museum to the Industry Club space in the Kursaal Centre.
On September 20, 21 and 22, accredited industry guests will have the opportunity to organise physical meetings with the selected projects. On September 22 the accredited professionals unable to travel to San Sebastian will also have the possibility of online meetings with the selected projects.
The San Telmo Museum Assembly Room will also be up and running this year. This space for reflection on the industry today through round tables and presentations, as part of the Thought and Discussion area, will address issues such as inclusion and diversity in the field of audio-visuals as well as hosting the European Film Forum (co-organised with Creative Europe MEDIA), a platform fostering reflection on the challenges and problems facing the sector.
WIP Latam and WIP Europa will run on the same dates (20-21-22) at the Príncipe Cinemas. As well as the cinema screenings, the selected films will be available for online viewing in the Festival Library, powered by Cinando, from immediately after their cinema screening and until Saturday 25. As a new feature this year, you have to book WIP Latam and WIP Europa tickets using the Festival's ticket booking system and participants will be required to show their industry accreditation for access to the screening .
For its part, Zinemaldia & Technology will take place physically on Thursday 23 in Room Z, Tabakalera-International Centre for Contemporary Culture, and can be followed in streaming mode on the Festival website.
The Lau Haizetara Documentary Forum will hold its pitching session on the morning of the 22nd in the San Telmo Museum Function Room.
Once again this year, the Industry Department will have its hub in the Kursaal Centre. The Industry Club space, a meeting and working space for accredited industry guests, will remain open from September 17 to 25, from 9 am to 8 pm.
