Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Paris based producer Yaël Fogiel co-founded Les Films du Poisson with Laetitia Gonzalez in 1995.
In 1997, her first production, Emmanuel Finkiel’s Madame Jacques sur la Croisette, won Best Short at the French academy awards (César). She went on to produce over a hundred titles acclaimed, sold and awarded worldwide. Among them, five César, a Golden Camera, a Cannes Best Director Award, an Oscar nomination, and hundreds of other prestigious awards.
Fogiel has built lasting relationships with some of the most important authors of her generation (Emmanuel Finkiel, Julie Bertuccelli, Dror Moreh, Mathieu Amalric, Mona Achache...) while also always keeping a look out to reveal filmmakers of the future, like she did with Paul B. Preciado, whose Orlando won four awards in Berlinale 2024.
She spearheaded acclaimed series such as Toledano & Nakache En Thérapie, a phenomenon with over 50 million views on ARTE. She just premiered Hagai Levi’s new original creation Etty, at the 2025 Venice Mostra.
Fogiel earned the Toscan du Plantier Prize (2011), the IFCIC aware (2008), and Personality of the Year (2011). An ACE member, she is asked to join international juries and to give masterclass every year, and in 2002, she was selected to represent France in the Women on the Move program.
