Cristina Jolonch (Barcelona, Spain), has been working since 1989 for La Vanguardia, in whose Sunday supplement she has published numerous articles and interviews and where she currently writes about gastronomy and directs the space Comer en la web.
She received the National Gastronomy Award from the Real Academia Española de Gastronomía, while the Acadèmia Catalana de Gastronomia i Nutrició also honoured her with its Premi Especial de l’Acadèmia.
With the Fundación Raíces, she has promoted the social project Cocina Conciencia, dedicated to the social and job immersion of young people at risk of exclusion through catering.
She joined Verónica Escuer to co-direct the documentary Snacks, bocados de una revolución (Culinary Zinema, 2015) and is author of the books Guía secreta. ¿Dónde comen los grandes cocineros? and De carne y hueso, conversaciones sobre la gastronomía y la vida, both published by Libros de Vanguardia.
For ten years, and until 2025, she was the president for Spain and Portugal of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. She has been presenting the podcast Quédate a comer since 2021.
