Agustina Llambi Campbell (Buenos Aires) studied at the University of Cinema in the city of her birth. She directs the Argentinian production company La Unión de los Ríos.
She has produced Santiago Mitre’s El estudiante / The Student (2011), Special Jury Prize in the Cineasti del Presente section at Locarno; Paulina (Horizontes Latinos, 2015), winner of the Grand Prix and FIPRESCI Prize at the Cannes Semaine de la Critique and of the Horizontes Award in San Sebastián; La Cordillera / The Summit (Donostia Award Special Screening, 2017), presented at Un Certain Regard in Cannes; Petite fleur (2022), opening film of the BAFICI, and Argentina, 1985 (Perlak, 2022), which competed in Venice, where it won the FIPRESCI Prize, and later won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film, the Goya for Best Ibero-American Film and the Platino for Best Film; it was also nominated for the Academy Award and for the BAFTA.
She has also produced El cielo del Centauro (Hugo Santiago, 2015), which opened the BAFICI; Alejandro Fadel’s films Los salvajes (2012), selected for the Semaine de la Critique at Cannes, and Muere, monstruo, muere / Murder Me, Monster (2018), presented in Un Certain Regard at the French Festival; and the debut film from Dolores Fonzi, Blondi (Horizontes Latinos, 2023), which competed at the BAFICI.
In 2024 and 2025 she co-produced El tema del verano (Pablo Stoll) and Vieja loca (Martín Mauregui), both shown at Sitges, and 27 noches / 27 Nights (Daniel Hendler), opening film of the Official Selection in San Sebastián.
She is currently working on the post-production of Villaflor, Santiago Mitre’s sixth film.
