Jérôme Vidal (Paris) has been a film producer for more than thirty years. Since 2008, as the head of Noodles Production, he focuses his activity on the development and production of first and second films, and on the co-production of international auteur films, paying special attention to Spanish cinema.
Several of the films he has produced or co-produced have won awards at the San Sebastián Festival: Los lunes al sol / Mondays in the Sun (Fernando León de Aranoa, Golden Shell, 2002); La mujer sin piano (Javier Rebollo, Silver Shell for Best Actor, 2009); El muerto y ser feliz / The Dead Man and Being Happy (Javier Rebollo, Silver Shell for Best Actor going to José Sacristán, 2012); Blancanieves / Snow White, (Pablo Berger, Special Jury Prize and Silver Shell for Best Actress going to Macarena García, 2012); Evolution (Lucile Hadzihalilovic, Special Jury Prize and Jury Prize for Best Cinematography, 2015); and El llanto / The Wailing (Pedro Martín-Calero, Silver Shell for Best Director, 2024).
His films include titles such as Chacun pour soi / Each for Himself (Bruno Bontzolakis, 1998), Dans les champs de bataille / In the Battlefields (Danielle Arbid, 2004), and Eldorado, all of them presented at the Quinzaine des Cinéastes in Cannes ; Aloft (Claudia Llosa, 2014), which competed in Berlin; Madre / Mother (Rodrigo Sorogoyen, 2019), Orizzonti Award for Best Actress going to Marta Nieto in Venice; Un año, una noche / One Year, One Night (Isaki Lacuesta, Perlak, 2022), Ecumenical Jury Award in Berlin, and Robot Dreams (Pablo Berger, 2023), presented as a special screening in Cannes and nominated for the Best Animated Film Academy Award.
