Txani Rodríguez (Llodio, Spain. 1977) has published the novels Lo que será de nosotros (2008), Agosto (2013) and Si quieres, puedes quedarte aquí (2016), a finalist in the XLVII City of Barbastro International Short Book Prize. She has also published the book of short stories El corazón de los aviones (2006) and several comics, particularly including La carrera del sol (2008), translated into several languages.
Her novel Los últimos románticos (Seix Barral, 2020) received critical and public acclaim, landing her the Euskadi Literature Prize 2021 in the Spanish Literature category. It has been translated into Italian, Bulgarian and Turkish, and was adapted for the big screen by David Pérez Sañudo: Azken erromantikoak (The Last Romantics, New Directors, 2024). La seca (Seix Barral, 2024) is her sixth novel to date.
She is a regular contributor to the cultural programmes on Radio Euskadi and a columnist for El Correo and El Diario Vasco. She teaches creative writing at the Escola d’Escriptura de l’Ateneu Barcelonès and at the ALEA Literary Association.
