Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).

Simon Blondeau (Rouen, France) graduated with a Master’s in Film earned at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 and started working in several film theatres throughout the capital. He later moved to Toulouse, where he collaborated with the Cinémas Utopia. In 2011 he joined the artistic direction of L’Atalante Cinéma, in Bayonne, and developed projects related to both mediation and film education.
In 2014 he became the head of Gabarra Films, a Basque distribution company located in France. Since 2020 he has been coordinating the “École au cinéma” initiative in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, participating in film selection at national level.
Together with the programming team at L’Atalante, every year he organises the editorial policy for Rencontres sur les Docks, the Bayonne festival dedicated to Spanish and Basque cinema. He is also responsible for programming films for children and for film heritage, focused on cultural transmission and openness from the cinema. He has served on the jury of several events in France, such as the Festival de Cannes (Youth Award) and the Cinespaña Festival in Toulouse.
