Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Alice Braga (São Paulo, Brazil) was brought to international audiences with her breakout role in Cidade de Deus / City of God (Kátia Lund, Fernando Meirelles, Perlak) in 2002.
She was selected by Will Smith as his co-star in the science fiction film I Am Legend (Francis Lawrence, 2007) and followed with the remake of Predators (Nimród Antal, 2010), opposite Adrien Brody, and Elysium (Neill Blomkamp, 2013), alongside Matt Damon. Alice recently wrapped production on the upcoming Brazilian adaptation of Leila Slimani’s debut novel, In the Garden of the Ogre (Carolina Jabor).
Alice currently stars as Amanda on the AppleTV series Dark Matter, alongside Joel Edgerton, and the Netflix limited series Man on Fire, opposite Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Her recent television work includes the starring role of Teresa Mendoza on the USA Network’s drama series Queen of the South; the FX limited series A Murder at the End of the World, opposite Emma Corrin and Clive Owen; and Luca Guadagnino’s HBO miniseries We Are Who We Are, alongside Chloë Sevigny and Kid Cudi.
Additional film credits include the The Shack (Stuart Hazeldine, 2017), opposite Sam Worthington and Octavia Spencer; the The New Mutants (Josh Boone, 2020), opposite Maisie Williams and Anya Taylor-Joy; The Suicide Squad (James Gunn, 2021); and Hypnotic (Robert Rodriguez, 2023), in which she starred opposite Ben Affleck. She also starred in the Pixar animated film, Soul (Pete Docter, Kemp Powers), which was awarded the 2020 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
