Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Patricia López Arnaiz (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain) made her film debut in 80 egunean / For 80 Days (Jon Garaño, Jose Mari Goenaga, Zinemira, 2010). She went on to participate in La herida / Wounded (Fernando Franco, Official Selection, 2013), Special Jury Prize and Silver Shell for Best Actress (Marian Álvarez) in San Sebastián, and in “The Baztan Trilogy” (Fernando González Molina).
She worked with Alberto Rodríguez in the series La peste / The Plague (2017), with Julio Medem in El árbol de la sangre / The Tree of Blood (2018) and with Alejandro Amenábar in Mientras dure la guerra / While at War (Official Selection, 2019). In 2020 she carried off the Best Actress Goya for Ane (David López Sañudo, New Directors), also earning her the Forqué, Feroz, and Ojo Crítico awards, among others.
These were followed by La hija / The Daughter (Manuel Martín Cuenca, Official Selection, out of competition, 2021) and 20.000 especies de abejas / 20,000 Species of Bees (Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren, Zinemira, 2023), premiered and awarded in Berlin, for which she landed the Silver Biznaga at Málaga Festival and the Feroz Award for Best Supporting Actress.
In 2024, she starred in Nina (Andrea Jaurrieta, Made in Spain), Special Critics’ Jury Prize in Málaga, and Los destellos / Glimmers (Pilar Palomero, Official Selection), bagging her the Silver Shell for Best Leading Performance in San Sebastián and nominations for the Goya and Feroz awards, among others.
In 2025 she was part of the cast that won the Golden Shell, the Irizar Award and the Goya for Best Film for Los domingos / Sundays (Alauda Ruiz de Azúa), with which she also harvested accolades including the Goya and Feroz for Best Leading Actress. This year she presented the Tiago Guedes-helmed Aquí at Cannes Premiere.
In television she has starred in series including La otra mirada, with which she won the Ondas Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, the episode of Apagón / Offworld directed by Isa Campos and Galgos, by Félix Viscarret and Nely Reguera, among others.
