Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).

Since 2014, the Industry Department of the San Sebastian Festival has organized Focus on, an initiative highlighting the audiovisual industry of a different country, region or territory each year. In this edition, in
collaboration with SEYAP (Film Producers' Association of Turkey), ten Turkish audiovisual professionals have had the opportunity to expand their networks and strengthen co-production opportunities with European and Latin American. The delegation brought together emerging and experienced producers, with feature films and documentary projects at different stages of production. This year, two Turkish productions
were selected in San Sebastian: Artakalan / What Remains, by Yeşim Ustaoğlu, in the Official Selection, and Kirpilerin Savaşı / The Battle of Hedgehogs, by Tayfur Aidin, in WIP Europa.
