For nine days every September, San Sebastian morphs into a city of cinema. The films, the stars making an appearance and the gatherings are the big attractions. But behind everything that happens at the Festival is a list of sponsors and collaborators who have also been making it possible to organise this enormous celebration every year for the last 74 editions.
Make & Mark, the business group specialised in generating value for brands and institutions through communication, marketing and premium experiences, strengthens its involvement with the Festival on becoming its official sponsor. Furthermore, in this edition, the company has created the Transforma Make & Mark Award, which recognizes films that reflect cinema's role as a driver of social change. For the second year running, it will also continue to sponsor the Horizontes Make & Mark Award going to the best film in the Horizontes Latinos section.
Europcar is the new sponsor of the Made in Spain section at the San Sebastián Festival’s 74th edition. The leading car and van rental brand will contribute to mobility of the organisation during the event, thus boosting its commitment to Spanish culture, artistic creation and cinema at one of the country’s most important festivals. For the Festival, Europcar will also offer a discount of 10% on the cost of vehicle rental for all those attending the event. The offer can be found here.
Cines Callao will be the sponsor of the opening party at the San Telmo Museum. This theatre from Madrid, which now celebrates a hundred years packed with movie-related milestones thanks to which the building has become an icon of the film world, will fire the starting pistol of the Festival’s nine days following the opening gala at the Kursaal Auditorium.
Google also joins the event in the framework of its support to filmmakers. In addition, it will organise a day of AI mentorship and training to help creators unlock their most ambitious ideas, in the understanding that technology and innovation are of little use without professionals who know how to use them.
ILBA International will also join us for this 74th edition of the Festival. With the premise of non-invasive care and natural-looking results, the aesthetic medicine clinic with centres in San Sebastián and Bilbao will sponsor the VIP space at the Kursaal Auditorium.
Cafés Dromedario will be the Official Coffee of the Festival’s 74th edition, with the task of boosting the energy of film crews, journalists, industry professionals and the Festival staff themselves over the nine days of the event.
These new sponsors join the travelling companions of several editions, who are now fixed features of the images associated to the Festival and its audience, such as RTVE, EITB, Movistar Plus, Audi, Kutxabank, Armani Beauty, Codorníu, El Diario Vasco, Irizar, Keler, Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, Renfe, Repsol, Viña Pomal, Antiguo Berri, La Perla and Vichy Catalan. The acknowledgement of their commitment extends to the other institutions, companies and bodies that make it possible for the Festival to reach the age of 74 in excellent shape.
