The company FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DE DONOSTIA-SAN SEBASTIÁN S.A. is made up in equal parts of the Donostia-San Sebastián City Council, the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the Spanish Government's Ministry of Culture.
The San Sebastián Festival is listed by the FIAPF in the competitive film festivals category.
ARTICLE 1
The San Sebastián Festival seeks to make a positive contribution to the development of the film culture and industry.
ARTICLE 2
The 74th edition of the Festival will run from 18-26 September 2026.
The Tanta Award will be presented in the framework of the Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum and Ikusmira Berriak, from 21 to 23 September.
ARTICLE 3
The Tanta Award is an industry accolade open to all projects selected for the Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum and Ikusmira Berriak.
ARTICLE 4
The aim of the Tanta Award is to promote audiovisual works showing sensitivity towards the climate emergency and to encourage new narratives within the audiovisual sector.
ARTICLE 5
The Award comes with €5,000 gross for the majority producer of the winning project.
ARTICLE 6
To be eligible, projects must have narratives containing elements of ecological realism, imagination and creativity when imagining sustainable futures.
ARTICLE 7
The Award will be decided by a specifically constituted jury made up of one representative of the European Climate Foundation, one representative of Greenpeace Spain, and one representative of Climate Spring.
ARTICLE 8
The Award cannot be declared void or given to more than one project.
ARTICLE 9
The Tanta Award will be announced at the Industry Awards ceremony.
ARTICLE 10
The winning project must include mention of the Award and the award's logo in the final work; updates on progress of the project must also be provided.
ARTICLE 11
Participation implies full acceptance of these rules and regulations.
ARTICLE 12
The Festival may use the materials corresponding to the projects for communication purposes.
ARTICLE 13
The Festival management will have the final say in all aspects not envisaged by these rules and regulations.
ARTICLE 14
In the event of discrepancy in the interpretation of these rules and regulations, the Spanish text will apply and the decision of the Festival management will be final.
