When he died, Fernando Ruiz Vergara left dozens of drafts for films he was never able to make. The Andalusian filmmaker had only directed one documentary, Rocío, heartrending and fascinating, damned after its judicial censorship during the early years of democracy in Spain. Since then, his projects have lain dormant in the imagination and the desire. In Caja de resistencia we fabricate those dream projects, taking them to the cinema from the present, as a gesture of resistance.
