Having survived breast cancer, Nora is back in action with a burning urgency that drives her to take on professional challenges beyond her means and dynamite her future plans of creating a family with her lifelong partner, Tom, plunging headlong into an affair with Max, much younger and free-thinking than herself. When Max travels abroad, Nora launches into a mad race to avoid her greatest dread: being left on her own to confront her fear of death, the deap-seated angst that fuels her thirst for life.
