West Germany, 1973. Iria and Hajo are in love. When Iria’s mother has a severe accident at the car factory where she works, Iria resolves to bring her back to the little village in the Galician mountains they both left many years ago. Hajo, eager to prove his solidarity, offers to drive. A road trip that begins as an act of hope soon begins to expose the rifts between the young couple. A film about power dynamics that connect the living with the dead, women with witches, and the past with the present.
