In 1995 Chiquito de la Calzada was an indisputable idol. His humour and language caught on in Spanish society, causing furor in an entire generation. One night, Spain's most popular TV show presented Lucas Grijander, a disturbingly similar character. This was the start of a nightmare for Gregorio Esteban who felt that his identity had been usurped, giving rise to an unusual dispute: Chiquito vs Lucas Grijander. A struggle for ownership of a cultural phenomenon and for one man's survival.
