Naëmi Ada, a graduate of the DFFB in Berlin, is featured in the New Directors section with her first feature film, "Body of Glass". This conversation offers an intimate encounter with a filmmaker at the start of her career. It is an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the creative process behind her debut and the decisions that shaped the film. The conversation will also explore the challenges, lessons learnt and hurdles involved in tackling a feature film for the first time. A space for dialogue and inspiration for those who are beginning to develop their own cinematic vision.
Naëmi Ada (Tübingen, Germany. 1994) studied directing at the German Film Academy Berlin (dffb) after training in contemporary dance. She has directed short films including Nirgendwo, vielleicht auch hier (2018), A Way Around Introspection, selected for the Sundance Ignite fellowship in 2019, No Words (2019), Lola 4 (2022) and Only the Sea (2023). She has also made experimental works such as Memories of What Became a Desert and Damaged Lemons. Body of Glass is her debut in feature film.
