The colombian movie ''Los colores de la montaña'' wins the Films in Progress Award in Toulouse.
The CINÉ CINÉMA Award, presented for the first time, went to the film Asalto al cine.
The Jury of Films in Progress 17 decided to grant the Films in Progress 17 Award to the colombian film Los colores de la montaña, one of the six selected for this edition of aid to Latin American cinema. Films in Progress 17 took place last week during the Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine in Toulouse, and will be continued in September with designation of the Films in Progress 18 Award at San Sebastian Festival.
Los colores de la montaña movie is the first feature from the colombian director Carlos César Arbeláez.

The CINÉ CINÉMA en Construction Award consists of purchase of the winning film by the CINÉ CINÉMA TV Network, for the sum of €15,000, and its TV broadcast following its release in France.

Six Latin American films will participate in Films in Progress 17
Six films from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico will participate in the 17th edition of Films in Progress at the Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine in Toulouse, jointly organised with San Sebastian Festival. The second part of this twice yearly rendezvous will take the shape of Films in Progress 18 at San Sebastian this coming September.

Two of the selected films, A tiro de piedra and Lucía, are now being given a second chance following their participation in Films in Progress 16.
A total of 93 films were received for Films in Progress 17.
