At the beginning of the century, a man dreams of bringing Caruso and Sarah Bernhardt together in the Amazon rainforest to perform an opera. To finance the project, he plans to obtain the rubber produced by the trees in this territory. To do so, he must navigate a wild river, cross a region populated by hostile Indians, and traverse mountains. But nature resists the force of dreams.
