L'ORO DI NAPOLI / GOLD OF NAPLES
Hunger, Humour and Fantasy

Several episodes show us the different kinds of people who live in Naples, like an adulteress called Sofia who leads her husband to believe that she has lost her emerald ring in the pizza dough she was preparing; the mother who has a fit of pride and orders the hearse containing her son's body to be driven down the main street; the aristocratic card player who is systematically beaten by a child; or the rich man who marries a hooker when his girlfriend commits suicide.
