EL HERMANO PEQUEÑO / THE YOUNGER BROTHER
Made in Spanish '98

When Leocadio Mínguez turns up dead on the same day he was supposed to give evidence in a corruption case, someone asks Pepe Carvalho to take the case. Carvalho accepts, only to discover that Leocadio was pumping his political party full of illegal funds. Under pressure from the judges, Mínguez had handed over a list of implicated names the detective badly needs as his only lead. Videos on the dead man's private life turn up and, as Carvalho gets deeper into the case, so do new bodies. Everyone wants him to stop investigating. Realising he's in danger, Carvalho decides to use his wits and the multiplying effect of the media.
