Living with cats, the new gull suffers from an identity crisis: although it thinks it's a cat, it soon realizes the difference and ends up feeling pride at being a seagull. The seagull and its feline friends try to stop the Big Mouse from taking over the city.

The story begins in a peaceful little fishing village where the need for food obliges all of the adults to take to the sea. Left alone, the children are about to start playing when a magician appears with a devastating message: the terrible Unicorn has sunk their parents' ship, furious because its offspring has disappeared and convinced that the fishermen are to blame. Its next victims will be the children. Marina, one of the village girls, promises to help the Unicorn to find its baby, setting out on an unforgettable search into the underwater depths where she will meet the charming inhabitants at the bottom of the sea.
