The once-great empire of Meadowland sees its superiority threatened by the limitless ambition of its rival empire Dungoland. The perfidious Destruzzio, counsellor to King Pinzón II of Meadowland, proposes sponsoring a trip to prove their determination and end the competition forever: an expedition to the Moon to sculpt the face of the King on it.
