Estigmas is the story of Bruno, a rough, heavy man overly fond of drinking. His only desire is to be a normal person, but fate would have it otherwise. One day he wakens to find that his hands are starting to bleed, marking the start of a journey of redemption through suffering, pain and death. From now on he?ll have to live with his new stigmata...
BIOGRAPHY
San Vicente (Alicante), 1969. Graduate in Film Directing and holder of a diploma in Film History and Aesthetics. From 1995 onwards, he made several short films and documentaries, including La casa de mi abuela (2005), nominated for best documentary by the European Film Academy. Estigmas, his first fiction, bagged the Pilar Miró Award for Best Directorial Debut at Valladolid Festival (Seminci) in 2009. Esquivar y pegar, his latest film, will also be screened in the Made in Spain section of San Sebastian Festival.
