Axun, aged 70, goes to hospital to take care of her daughter?s ex-husband. She can?t believe her eyes when she realises that the woman looking after the patient in the next bed is Maite, her close friend as a teenager. They soon realise that the chemistry between them is just the same as it was 50 years previously. The two women have great fun, enjoying their new-found friendship, until Axun discovers that Maite is a lesbian. Axun struggles with her feelings: who should she obey? Her head or her heart?
The short films made by Garaño (San Sebastian, 1974) have won over 90 prizes and his TV documentaries have been broadcast in over 15 countries. Goenaga (Ordizia, 1976) co-wrote and co-directed the animated feature Supertramps (nominated for a Goya in 2005), and the documentary feature Lucio (premiered in San Sebastian and nominated for a Goya in 2007). Both studied cinema at Sarobe and in 2001 founded the Moriarti production company along with another two colleagues.
