Ramón Agirre

Studied acting at the Basque Government School of Dramatic Art and has been working as a professional actor since 1983. Ramon has a long career in theatre, film and television.

His long and varied filmography includes titles such as 27 horas (27 Hours, 1986) by Montxo Armendáriz, Ander eta Yul (1988) by Ana Díez, El día de la bestia (The Day of the Beast, 1995) by Álex de la Iglesia, Hotel y domicilio (1995) by Ernesto del Río, La hora de los valientes (1998) by Antonio Mercero, Héctor (2002) by Gracia Querejeta, Frío sol de invierno (2003) by Pablo Malo, Pasos (2004) by Federico Luppi, Aupa Etxebeste! (2004) by Asier Altuna and Telmo Esnal, Trece rosas (Thirteen Red Roses, 2006) by Emilio Martínez Lázaro and Arriya (The Stone, 2010) by Alberto Gorritiberea. His latest work for cinema is Michael Haneke’s new work, Amour (2011).

His television career has been equally prolific since 1985, with parts in popular series like Bertan Zoro (1990), El joven Picasso (1992), Bi eta bat (1992), Los ladrones van a la oficina (1993), Canguros (1994), Amaren etxea (1994), Hermanos de leche (1995), La casa de los líos (1997), Petra Delicado (2001), El comisario (2001), Médico de familia (2001), Periodistas (2002), Hospital central (2003), Aquí no hay quien viva (2005), Martin (2006) and La familia mata (2008), among many others.
