Synopsis
A king lives happily with his beautiful wife and his daughter; he also owns a donkey that gives him a great amount of gold. But the queen becomes ill and, before she dies, makes the king promise that he will only marry a woman more beautiful than she is. After an eager search the only woman who fills this requisite is the king's own daughter. The princess then goes to her godmother, the Lilac Fairy, and together they devise several stratagems to prevent the marriage.
