TikTok is now an outstanding partner of the San Sebastian Festival’s 70th edition (@sansebastianfes), to run from 16-24 September 2022. The association will bring the Spanish movie world even closer to TikTok’s global community of more than one billion people.
For the first time, the San Sebastian Festival associates with a mobile entertainment platform in an initiative demonstrating the commitment of this cultural event to innovation and the new forms of inspiration and entertainment.
According to TikTok, this alliance with Spain’s most important festival and one of the biggest in the international circuit, strengthens its commitment to support and foster culture and entertainment, both on and off the platform.
José Luis Rebordinos, the Festival director, takes a highly positive view of this agreement thanks to which the contents of the event can be brought to a generation familiar with new digital technologies and languages. “The Festival has the vocation of listening to all audiences and TikTok is a good partner in achieving that mission”, he says.
This collaboration under which the platform becomes an outstanding partner of the Festival will give the TikTok community access to a wide variety of exclusive content, of unique moments at the Festival, which will embrace the platform’s highly characteristic language and will be brought to them by different creators.
Users will have the chance to grab a sneak peek of goings-on behind the scenes, of the stars as they come out of the Maria Cristina Hotel, of guests arriving at the Kursaal and of meetings with artists, all in a very different way from the norm. The TikTok community will therefore be able to participate in this creative experience and live the magic of the San Sebastian Festival through its official TikTok account: @sansebastianfes.
