Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Óscar Alonso (Madrid) is Head of Distribution at LAZONA Pictures, which released Quand vient l’automne / When Autumn Falls (François Ozon, 2024), winner of the Jury Prize for Best Screenplay and Silver Shell for Best Supporting Actor Award at the San Sebastián Festival. He had previously worked for Latido Films as Acquisitions Director, with films such as As bestas / The Beasts (Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Perlak, 2022) and was responsible for festival strategies, including those of El secreto de sus ojos / The Secret in Their Eyes (Juan José Campanella, Official Selection, 2009) winner of the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
He holds a Degree in Business Administration and Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid, a Master’s Degree in Film and Television Production from the Complutense University in Madrid, and completed the USC/Universal Studios Production and Directing Programme at the University of Southern California. He has been a member of the jury at festivals including Berlin and Karlovy Vary and a speaker at others such as Cannes and Rotterdam. He also participates in development programmes, is a visiting professor on several master’s degrees in film and a member of the committee of experts for the Lux Award and the European Film Academy.
