Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Filmmaker and photographer, Gia Coppola (Los Angeles, USA) premiered her first two feature films, Palo Alto (2013) and Mainstream (2020) in the Orizzonti section of the Venice Film Festival. Both films were also presented at the Toronto and Telluride festivals. Her latest film, The Last Showgirl (2024), starring Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dave Bautista, competed at the San Sebastian Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Prize, and garnered Anderson a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture. Additionally, Coppola has directed music videos, commercials, and short films for musicians and fashion brands.
