ZINEMALDIA & TECHNOLOGY: Beyond AI. Inclusive Technologies in the Audiovisual Sector
Although artificial intelligence remains the leading technology, there is a growing interest in the sector in generating proposals that advocate for a more ethical use, committed to creation and to the incorporation of new, more inclusive and representative technologies into the audiovisual industry.
The purpose of this conversation is to debate and understand the challenges and opportunities that arise in the development of these more inclusive and diverse technologies, in order to foster a positive and fruitful future for the sector.
AC is a strategist, conference curator, host, moderator and a TED speaker/moderator. They founded THE CATALYSTS, an agency for innovative and creative players working at the crossing of Digital Tech, Film/XR, Music/Sound, Design and Culture, to turn conferences into sites of knowledge exchange and co-creation.
She is the co-founder of Artefacto, a center for film and technology research, production, and innovation. She has produced and directed films that have been selected for festivals such as TIFF, NYFF, IFFR, CPH:DOX, and SXSW. She is a finalist for the 2025 Lumen Prize, the coordinator of the Master's Degree in Algorithmic Film and Computational Narratives at BAU, and an associate professor at UPF and ESCAC.
Chilean producer based in France, co-founder of NANAI Studio, exploring intersections between art, science, and technology. Co-creator of FIVIA, Marseille Video and Artificial Intelligence Festival. Regional delegate for MAIX LATAM, strengthening networks and scholarships for XR creators in Latin America.
He teaches intellectual property and cultural industries in national and international programs, and he has coordinated various publications, including the 2016 Aranzadi Practicum. He received the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres from France in 2022 and the Antonio Delgado Award in 2023 for his career defending copyright. He is a member of UNESCO and WIPO committees and Magister Lvcentinvs at the University of Alicante.
