An anonymous hero who really made history
Tuesday, September 25th, 2012

“Even if you don’t know where Colombia is or who the FARC are, in an hour and a half you’re going to learn about a question as universal as the injustice of war and also get to know one of the anonymous heroes that really make history.” This is how the director Miguel Courtois defines his latest film, which is based on the true story of Clara Rojas, who was kidnapped by the FARC and had a son while she was held captive in the jungle.

According to Luis Tosar who plays Crisanto, the humble farmer who was forced to look after the child, his character represents millions of people who live in a similar situation. “Perhaps his situation is extreme, but even in his country he already represents four million people who have been driven from their homes, and this can be extrapolated to the millions of people all over the world who are political, religious, or ethnic refugees.”
