New film by Marcelo Gomez, participant with his first movie Cinema, aspirinas e urubus (Cinema, Aspirins and Vultures) in Films in Progress 2004 before competing in the Un Certain Regard section of the Festival de Cannes and Horizontes Latinos in 2005. This film, participant in last year’s Films in Progress at San Sebastian, revolves around Veronica, a 26 year old asked by her father to do him a last favour: to find the love of her life.
His first film, Cinema, aspirinas e urubus (Cinema, Aspirins and Vultures), was selected for Films in Progress in 2004 and participated in Horizontes Latinos at the 2005 San Sebastian Festival after having been premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes that same year. The second, I travel because I have to, I come back because I love you, co-directed with Karim Aïnouz, premiered at Venice Festival in 2009 and received the awards for Best Directing and Best Cinematography at the Rio de Janeiro Festival.
