The latest film by Imanol Uribe, who has won the Golden shell on two occasions with Días contados (1994) and Bwana (1996), is set in Andalusia in the 1950s. Enrique and Carmen are deeply in love with each other, and she fixes things so that he can do his military service in her town. But Enrique is assigned to a courthouse, and in view of the injustices that he witnesses each day, he realises that he needs to act to change things. Best director and best screenplay awards at the Malaga Film Festival.
