This documentary portrays the eventful life of Manuel Cortés, known as "the mole of Mijas", a victim of political persecution who remained in hiding for thirty years, a ghost of the Civil War. His story reflects that of so many other political prisoners who had to sacrifice their lives by fleeing repression.

El sabio de San Bernardo (2009), Bécquer desconocido (2010) and El defensor (2011), RTVA to Andalusian Creation Award at the Festival Iberoamericano de Huelva. 30 años de oscuridad was one of the four finalists to the Goya for Best Documentary Feature in 2012.
