The incredible story of the Villas-­Boas brothers and the events leading up to creation of the Xingu National Park, the first Indian reservation in Brazil. Brazilian director Cao Hamburger presented this film in the Panorama section at the last Berlin Festival, where he had previously competed in 2006 with O Ano em Que Meus Pais Saíram de Férias (The Year My Parents Went on Vacation).

BIOGRAPHY

Xingu was presented in the Panorama section of the last Berlin Festival, an event at which Cao Hamburger already competed in 2007 with O ano em que meus pais saíram de férias (The Year My Parents Went on Vacation). He earned fame in Brazil as a producer of the childrens' television programme Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum, about which he made his first film in 2006: Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum, o filme. He also directed the renamed series Sons of Carnival, produced by O2 and broadcast by HBO.
