Films in Progress, the twice-yearly event organised by the San Sebastian and Toulouse Festivals, is now receiving submissions for Films in Progress 29.
This initiative has the objective of helping to complete feature films with Latin American production faced with difficulties at the post-production stage. Six films selected by the committees of both festivals will be screened for an audience of professionals in order that they may contribute to their conclusion, distribution and premiere at festivals.
Films in Progress has boosted the launch of new talents and the conclusion and commercialisation of some of the most remarkable Latin American feature films of recent years: Gloria by Sebastián Lelio, Pelo Malo (Bad Hair) by Mariana Rondón, Matar a un hombre (To Kill A Man) by Alejandro Fernández Almendras,Ixcanul by Jayro Bustamante, Desde allá (From Afar) by Lorenzo Vigas and Eva no Duerme (Eva Doesn’t Sleep) by Pablo Agüero, among others.
Films in Progress is a consolidated initiative, a must-attend gathering for producers and industry members on both sides of the Atlantic.
